1971 Mercury Cougar GT (PHOTO) very rare car 700 Cougar GT's produced in 1971. It was specifically produced as the replacement for the discontinued Cougar Eliminator of 1969/70, and only 1/3rd as many were made as the Eliminators!! While not as dramatic as the Eliminators, it is nevertheless, a great find for the Mercury. This is a bright compaction blue car with white interior. It has very little rust, very solid body having spent it’s life in the north Alabama. The interior needs some work The drive train is a 351C-4V (M-Code) with C6 automatic transmission. with the famous Ford 9" rear end. All the car is there, all trim is intact. Wheels are stored in my basement . 1954 Chevy Panel (PHOTO) A clean stock truck, I found it stored in a garage 4 years ago, it had been there 25 years. I would say the body is excellent for it's age. The only rust is on the front floorboards at the kick up, and on the very lower part of the firewall in the same area. The running boards have 2 small holes in them also. The rest of the body is very solid with very minor surface rust and a couple small dents. I have more photos of fenders and other stuff if you want to see them let me know. The truck is 100% complete as far as I can tell. I took off the front clip, and have all the hardware that came off. The cooling system is still intact so it can be started. I don't have the time to finish it and need the space. I had it running when I got it and drove it around a little before I parked it inside(4 years ago). The brakes are down and don't work. The starter was dragging so I pull started it. It ran fine with no knocks and the running gear and clutch is fine. It did miss on one cylinder, and smoked a little.(don't forget it had sat for 25 years). I think it was a stuck valve causing the miss. I didn't get into it because I haven't decided on what engine I was going to put in it, Or just rebuild this one. The glass is all good, except the drivers door is missing(I have a NEW one for it) I have about $600 in new parts to put on the truck, stuff like all new rubbers and seals for the entire truck, new electric wiper kit, Some new chrome parts I also have a Saginaw 4 speed trans for it with a Hurst shifter and the stock shifter. This is a very rare truck and will make a great Street Rod, or you could restore it to original it is all there. It is showing 72,000 miles and I believe that to be correct, There is also NO signs of ever being crashed either. 1953 Chevy Bel-Air (PHOTO) The car is a true hot rod. It has a 454 big block with a turbo 400 trans. and a 12 bolt rear. It sits on a truck frame because of the big motor. I didn't think the 53 frame would be strong enough. It has power disc brakes, power steering, tilts steering and is a 4 door. The rear door handles have been removed and filled in but are still functional but it has no back seat because it has a roll cage in it. It has leather bucket seats in the front with red bandana pattern door panels. There are still a few minor things that need to be done to the car to make it a reliable driver but I have not had the time to do it. it does have a brand new wiring harness from front to back. It is one of those painless kits with plenty of extra wiring for extra stuff like a/c, a radio or anything you wanted to add to it later. (336) 462- 5445. 1971 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 (PHOTO) Needs restoration but is a worthy project vehicle. Original 400CID engine, 3 spd transmission and replaced the trans with a 5 spd from an IROC Camaro. I just took it out of storage where it has been sitting inside for the past 13 years (with an occasional driven) It's an A/C car but all the stuff had been taken off prior to my purchase. There is some rust in the rear fenders/quarters and would require patch panels or panel replacement. Slight rust in lower rear of front fenders also. The undercarriage/unibody is rust-free and solid. I also have the original honeycomb wheels. The only changes I've made to the vehicle in 20+ years are the wheels/tires, ignition dist. 1951 Austin Devon (PHOTO) The car has a stock 40 horsepower 73 cubic inch 4 cylinder engine and a 4 speed transmission. The generator has been replaced with an alternator, and an electric fuel pump has been added. The car runs and drives, but will not win races. The interior looks as good as the outside and has been professionally upholstered in a nice brown velour. An AM/FM cassette radio has been added under the dash. The front brakes need adjustment.
