the church is one the right; the rectory, office and school are on the left

St.Gerard Charity Classic Car Show and Cruise August 22, 2010, 12:30

The St. Gerard Saint Vincent DePaul Conference (SVdP) is presenting the second
annual Charity Classic Car Show on the St. Gerard Parish grounds. This year
a cruise route will thread through and around the Parish grounds during the
Show, and new award categories have been added. A total of 40 awards are available,
(just a hint, last year no Buicks attended). A tax deductible donation to SVdP,
in place of a registration fee, and profits from the sale of concessions will
be used to fund the work of SVdP. The Show is planned to entertain both entrants
and spectators. Everyone who attends will vote on fun focused People Choice
Awards (listed below) which will be presented at the event. All special interest
vehicles are welcome so please plan to bring yours. The grounds contain a childrens
playground which will be available during the Show. Bean bag toss games will
also be available for all ages. The air conditioned school cafeteria will be
used for concessions and a place to catch whatever race or motorsports event
is on TV. The event will begin at 12:30 on August 22,2010 and end at 5pm. Awards
will be presented at 4:30 pm. There is a Mass at 6pm for those interested. August
29 is reserved as a rain date.

Over the Bay Fly-In to be held at the Ferndale Airport. Enjoy free shuttle service
to the airport and back to enjoy an exciting day of aviation activities including
airplane & helicopter rides. Over 100 aircraft and pilots are expected.

CAR TUNES ON MAIN 2010 in Findlay, OH!! The event will take place
on Saturday, August 21st , 2010 from 11am until Midnight on South Main St. It
will include a community cruise from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pit-stops will be ready
all over town and a map will be provided. After 3 p.m. cars will start parking
on Main St. and side streets, but must first stop in at Marathons Parking
lot. The goal is to fill Main Street from Lincoln St, to Main Cross St.. The
event includes specialty cars, a family activity area and great music all day
long. The Flag City Corvette Club is managing the registration for the community
cruise as well as the registration for the downtown Car Show. Registration is
$15 and includes both the cruise and the car show. Registration will be from
11 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Cars will be parked on Main St. and side streets from
3-6:30 p.m. Flag City Morning Rotary will be hosting a beer garden from 6 p.m.
to midnight in the parking lot across from the Courthouse. Tongue N Groove will
