1956 Oldsmobile Delta 88.
5000+ miles on a rebuilt original engine. Original miles unknown! 324ci V8 Rocket engine
with an automatic transmission. This is definitely not a 100-point show car, but for 51
years old, it is in very nice shape. This car is a 4-door hardtop, with tan and cream exterior.
The paint is in good presentable condition. The body is very solid. It is very straight with no major dents.
There are also no holes in the floors or the trunk. The bumpers are solid, no holes. Although if
you're looking for a beautiful finish, they will need to be re-chromed. Most other chrome pieces
are in good condition. All exterior lights work including brakes and turn signals. The tires are good.
The seats, headliner, and carpeting are old, but in good condition. The driver's side door glass
is cracked (small) and the lock mechanism needs repair (parts in trunk). The speedometer works
reflecting the 5000+ miles listed on the title. The wipers don't work. The gauges don‚t work.
The brakes are good- it stops straight. The engine has been rebuilt recently (date unknown) and is
very clean. It is very quiet and smooth. I have installed new water pump and fuel pump within last 2 months.
It is mechanically sound and starts right up even when cold. Front end needs alignment and adjustment.
There are numerous spare parts (too many to detail) in the trunk. No spare tire. The car comes
with an original radio, which does not work. A radio/CD player has been installed in the glove box.
